Esiteks mul polnud õrna aimugi, et maailmas on olemas linn nimega Tequila ja veel vähem oskasin unistada, et tolle Mehhiko reisi ajal sattun just sinna samusesse linna. Üks pisike linnake kuskil mägede keskel.

Meie päev nägi välja, et kõigepealt võtame ühe rasvase lõuna (I mean it..) ja siis liigume edasi linna/tequila tehase tuurile. Mõeldud – tehtud. Sai maitstud erinevaid tequilasi ning ka koduteel suruti mingi kokteil näppude vahele, nii et lahkusin Tequilast mõttega, et minust ei saa kunagi tequila sõber 😀

Mõned faktid tequila kohta

• Teadsite, et tequilat toodetakse ainult Mehhikos ja viies erinevas piirkonnas? Kõigepealt on tequila tootmine kaitsud, nii et Mehhiko omab täiet õigust. Nagu öeldud ‘If you call it tequila, it must be produced in Mexico’.
  
• Nagu mina lollike läksin sinna tarkusega, et tequilat toodetakse just nendest vartest/lehtedest, siis tegelikult toodetakse tequilat selle südamikust, mis on kuuendal pildil.
• Esimesel pildil on tequila taimed ning ühe taime kasvatamine võtab aega kuus kuni kaksteist aastat! UHH.
• Tequilal ei ole ainult üks maitse ja ka mina isiklikult sain nii mõnedki proovitud *külmavärinad*.

Firstly, I didn’t have no clue that there exists a city called Tequila and even more I didn’t believe that I have a chance to actually visit that city when I were in Mexico. It was small city in the middle of the mountains.

So our plan was to go and take a lunch and afterwards go for a city/factory tour – so we did as well. On the third picture you can see actually the car with what we were driving around. In the end of the day it was settled – I will never be a friend with tequila, hah.

Some facts about tequila.

• Did you know that tequila is produced only in Mexico and in 5 different regions? Well, there’s law for it and saying that “it’s not a real tequila if it’s not produced in Mexico”.
• Tequila is actually produced from the heart, not from these leaves, hah.
• One plant is growing 6-12 years. UHH.
• Tequila can have several different tastes and actually even I tasted several of them.
